In honor of St. Jerome, we replaced the hard-hitting statement of the Letter of James with the reflection from Second Timothy on the value of Scripture.

This was our "Mass on the Grass" in Troy City Park.  I was distracted and did not start the recording right away.  At a nearby football game, the national anthem began to be sung, and I said, "I guess we have to pause."  This recording begins toward the end of the national anthem.

We have the classic text of James about faith and works, Peter's act of faith in Jesus, and the context in which Peter's faith will be tested: the mission of the Suffering Servant.

Our interactions with strangers and with those whom we should know well: these interactions can be evaluated in light of the Word of God today.
